It is human nature to be tempted to succumb to what most would view as undesirable wants/needs. Most view greed as a bad human trait, but they will also admit that it is natural to want more. It’s the action you commit that matters.
In an argument you may be tempted to say the most hurtful things. The action of doing that is what will result in the consequences – say a break up.
That is why the development of willpower (which prevents us from doing the wrong thing) and moral reasoning (which can be developed and has the knowledge of why that action is wrong) are so important and need to be focused on in early childhood.
